Gig Review: Sertraline, 23rd October 2015 – The Fenton – Leeds

With support from Pulverise, Lost Effect, Suborbital Lobotomy, and Rugosa, Sertraline put on an insane night – from rap-metal to Evanescence influenced sounds; the room bursts at the seams with a wicked mix of musical genre.

The crowd are going crazy for all of the bands, you can tell that every single person in the room is enjoying themselves to the core and are very loyal fans.

Sertraline are playing a late set tonight but nonetheless the crowd stick around to see their beloved Lizzie, Tom, Mike, Hendo, and Wilson rock the stage and rip shit up. Their energy is electric and Lizzie takes to the stage very professionally, talking to the crowd between songs like they are her friends. Set The World Alight is predictably the song that gets the crowd going the most, everyone is singing the words back to the band. They even had a request to play it again at the end of their set where they really interact with their fans, some members even rocking out in the centre of the room with everyone.

Their cover of Get This Party Started by Pink is a great addition, but what really gets the party started tonight is their obvious love for doing the job they do, and they do it in true style.

They have one date left for this tour in Edinburgh on Thursday 29th October 2015. Get yourself there Edinburgh folk, it’s an evening well spent.
